The FFA is an INTRAcurricular organization associated with all
Agricultural classes. There is not a specific “FFA class”, anyone in the
agriculture program can be a member. The FFA is where the leadership and
science skills in the classroom are perfected and rewarded. Through the
FFA, students have the chance to compete in speaking contests, demonstrate
their scientific abilities, and grow as individuals. It is required that
everyone in these classes have a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE)
according to Texas Education Agency standards. You can also apply your SAE to
awards, scholarships and other recognitions in FFA, and if you are in the
agriculture program all four years, you are eligible for more than 2 million
dollars in scholarship money your senior year!
It's
all about our youth!
Support positive youth activities that
encourage and promote growth
that will build productive, community service
minded, voting, and informed adults.
Every thing on this earth you eat, drink, find
shelter in, wear, or drive
is here because it was grown from the earths soil, water, or mined from
it.
Agriculture, it's in touch with you daily so
teach it's value to our youth.
